You’d agree that the years constituting college are the most fun of your life. All through school, we’d keep waiting for the moment we’d finally enter college, and once we did, we never wanted to get out of it! It’s like hanging out with your buddies day after day. Of course, studies are a minor part of it too, but it’s the fun that gets us going. Apart from graduating, here are things you must do while you’re in college.
1) NEVER SAVE
Yes, we know you don’t do it anyway. But there are kids out there who believe otherwise. Of course saving is a great habit. But come on, let’s just chill out for a while. You do realize that once you get out of college, that’s what you’re going to be doing all your life – handling finances and trying to figure out ways to save money. So now’s your time to blow it all up!
2)HANG OUT ON CAMPUS
So everyone goes to college on a college day. But have you ever stepped into the campus on an off day? You must. No professors, no staff, no one to disturb you. Of course, you’ll have to sneak in and play hide and seek with security, but it’ll be worth it. You can do all the crazy shit you want with your buddies inside the campus, which you’ll never be able to do on a college day.
3)BUNKING AND GOING FOR MOVIE
Doesn’t matter if it’s not planned. Doesn’t matter if you are already in a class. Getting out of your campus and going on an impromptu road trip is a foolproof way to have great fun! One hatchback, packed with eight kids, heading out for roadside dhaba chai and Maggi. It’s what you’ll be telling your kids about in the future
4)FACE YOUR FEAR
Never participated in school functions or spoken during school assembly? Well, it’s about freakin’ time! College fests are the most fun places you can ever be, and it’s also the best place to showcase your talent. Dance, sing, play sports, do whatever it is that you like, but get out of your comfort zone and face your fears.
5) TELL THAT YOUR DROOLING OVER HOW YOU FEEL
Yes, it’s not school. It’s action time! You can’t be caught between stare games anymore. Just blurt it out and get it out of your system. Either you win, or you get your heart broken, which is even better. You get to learn how to mend yourself and move on.
6)FIGURE OUT PASSION
College is a great time to figure out your passion. We’re not talking singing, dancing here. You know, something more serious? Perhaps it’s entrepreneurship that gets you going, or you get a kick out of tech stuff. It’s stuff like this which will give you a clear sign as to what you’d like to do later in life.
7)STEP OUT OF CLASSES AND MAKE AS MANY FRIENDS YOU CAN
It won’t harm you to explore around and get to know students in other courses too. It’s surely the best way you can make friends with diverse interests.
8) DON’T FRET FOR BAD THINGS
It’s the time to make as many mistakes as you can and screw up bad. Really! There’s no better way of learning than making your own mistakes and getting to know where you went wrong. So no matter how badly you screw up, unless you crushed someone under your car, know that there’s always something positive that you can learn from it and in the end all is well. Let’s put it this way: You’re expected to screw up
9) GET PERMENT BACKUP OF PHOTOS
Need we say more? There’s no limit to the amount of pictures we all take during our college years – in the canteen, sleeping during class, crazy selfies, and what not! And a lot of them just get lost as we grow up. Make it a point to save them on a hard drive or cloud so that you can always access them and embarrass your college buddies later!
10)GO FOR OFF CAMPUS INTERNSHIP.
Really! There’s no better way of learning than making your own mistakes and getting to know where you went wrong. So no matter how badly you screw up, unless you crushed someone under your car, know that there’s always something positive that you can learn from it and in the end all is well. Let’s put it this way: You’re expected to screw up
11)DONT FRET IF YOU SCREW UP SOMETHING REALLY BAD.
