Ashwatthama’s redemption – The rise of Dandak
.
Author: Gunjan Porwal
Genre: Mythological Fiction
Publisher: Om Books
.
It’s a long time I read mythology fiction. I loved this book. Because story is fast paced.
.
The title , cover is appropriate the story. The cover is eye catching and impressive. Author has done lot of study for this book. There are so many new things i understand after this book.
.
Our protagonist Ashwatthama who was cursed by Lord Krishna after the battle of Kurukshetra. He cursed to ill till the end of the world. Ashwattama is lost everything. The story is set post Mahabharata times.
.
One day he meets Vikram the king of Surparka and finds a purpose of life. Then all the journey started. The plot talk about all the journey of this two. Rana and Urmila and finally gets emancipation from his curse and understands that every action of God as bad as a curse has a divine purpose behind it.
.
What happened to curse ?
Who is dead and who is rising? Who will save the world ?
.
The plot is well planned and great described. You will definitely not fell boring while reading this. There is sequel of this book is coming out. The best part is pace of this book it’s damn good planned.
.
There are ao many things war, politics, friendship, emotions etc. All feels ao realistic, very dynamic. The only thing I disappoint is some part is written in hindi.
.
The characters are well developed and described. The depth of every character is highly maintained. That’s the best part of it.
.
Overall a must read book for mythology lovers. I’m dying to read the second part.
