Many of us struggle to remain calm during the day or to fall asleep at night. Our restless, treacherous minds make us feel good one moment and terrible another. From where do negativity and anguish engulf us and how do we go about being serene and peaceful? Zen shows us the art of attaining that inner quietude without rituals or dogma. It is about seeing beauty, bliss and truth in our everyday lives. Driving to work or washing the dishes, every act could easily be meditation. Based on the original Zen teachings, this beautiful book offers a life-changing perspective on life itself. Bestselling author of many transformational books, Om Swami shares with you the art of happiness with plenty of humour, stories and wisdom as he takes you on a journey from being mind full to mindful.
Review
Om Swami has made Zen quite simple, easy and effortless to understand and grasp. With his usual streak of humor and liveliness embedded in quoting the stories of Buddha & Mulla, and not to forget the incorporation of Toons to supplement the content, the book is a complete MIndful read. I started it the day I received and couldn’t keep it down till I reached the last page. Somewhere the energies of the book hit you exactly where it is needed for your best, whatever may be your level of operating in life. It can be understood at multiple levels of ‘Knowing’ and can be further re-read to go further high. As defined by Zen, follow 4 principles in life and live life to the fullest. Gratitude Swamji!! Looking so much forward to the next one :)! –By Sonal Shukla on 18 April 2018
Superb, as usual! Swamiji has a knack for imparting wisdom and knowledge in a clear and concise manner. One of the things that stood for me is the advice on the importance of exercise in one’s life. I meditate daily and am quite serious about making progress on this path. I’m equally serious about exercising regularly. When I cannot accommodate both in my schedule, which happens quite often, I prefer to skip exercise and meditate instead. Based on Swamiji’s suggestion that one give equal importance to both, I’ll strive towards making time for exercising as well. Swamiji, thanks for the book! Eagerly awaiting your next set of books 🙂 –By Madhusudan on 24 April 2018
