The original restaurant in New Delhi opened in 2009 to significant acclaim for its unconventional and innovative approach to contemporary Indian food.
Indian Accent, New Delhi, has been awarded the San Pellegrino ‘Best Restaurant in India’ by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants for seven consecutive years and ‘Number 1 Restaurant in India’ by ‘Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling’ Top Restaurant Awards. It has been included in Time magazine’s ‘World’s 100 Greatest Places’ list and is the only restaurant from India in the ‘World’s 50 Best Restaurants’ list. The restaurant has also been rated as the ‘No. 1 Restaurant in India’ by TripAdvisor consistently from 2014 to 2019.

Manish Mehrotra
Manish Mehrotra is one of India’s highly regarded chefs. He is credited with creating an innovative cuisine combining authentic Indian flavours with panAsian and Western techniques and ingredients. Manish has been called the most exciting modern Indian chef in the world today. Manish started his career in Mumbai as part of Ananda Solomon’s team at the Thai Pavilion before joining Old World Hospitality in 2000. He soon turned Oriental Octopus at Delhi’s Habitat World, India Habitat Centre, into the place to be seen at. He has spent over two decades with Old World Hospitality, opening several restaurants while travelling the world and honing his culinary skills. Manish travels extensively between the two Indian Accent restaurants and for events across the world. He is passionate about his craft, his knowledge of ingredients and their origins is immense. He owns over 1500 cookbooks and is an inspiration to aspiring young chefs today. He credits his success to Rohit Khattar, who has constantly supported him in his endeavours and to his late wife Vindhya, without whose sacrifice and encouragement he couldn’t have lived his dream.
